You’re setting your goals and looking ahead excitedly at the year in front of you (I’m just assuming here!). And at the same time, you look back on last year and realize your goals didn’t exactly pan out how you thought they would.
“But this year is going to be different, I am actually going to hit them” – as you tell yourself.
It’s a cycle that we go through almost every year, until eventually you just stop making goals. What’s the point anyway if they never turn out how you thought?
Enter –> “inspired action”
Let me explain why it might be the best way to achieve your goals and actually get to where you want to be.
When we set goals, big or small, there is a part of us that will need to change. You can’t be the same person you are today to be able to achieve these goals, so how could you possibly know the steps to achieve them?
You can’t and you won’t. And to try would only be a major energy suck and time waste.
Inspired action means to only take action on the things that feel good to you and what makes you inspired. The best way to describe this is give you an example:
Last year I made a goal to take better care of my body and I wanted to achieve that by hiking 3x/week. I wanted to be in nature more while getting in a nice workout. I love hiking and was already doing it 1x/week so the steps I wanted to take to reach this goal seemed easy and perfect for me.
Spirit, however, had different plans for me. Plans that I never would have thought of on my own. You see, when it came time to start doing the hike, I all of a sudden had zero interest. WTH?!
Instead, about a month later, I became obsessed with working out in my basement. Now I must tell you, I had NEVER worked out a day in my life previously and actually hated the thought of it. But by the end of the year, I was still doing it! It came naturally to me and never really felt like a chore. Ok there were a few days that I loathed it, but not many.
When you take a step back and just observe your life, you realize that every great thing in your life actually happened at a time when you let go of control and just lived.
Here’s how you can take inspired action to achieve your goals:
The reason inspired action works is because it allows you to let go and trust that there is something bigger and better waiting for you, and the way to get there is by using your intuition.
You’ll notice idea nuggets dropping into your life all throughout the year, ideas that will take you closer to your goal without you even realizing it.
But a fair warning, there may be some difficulty. Because you may be doing some old actions that do not fit into your goal and as you continue to manifest this new reality, they will become uncomfortable. So uncomfortable that if you don’t take action to drop them out of your life, you will live in misery and get further and further from that goal.
If I were to sum up inspired action into one sentence, here is what I would say….. make your goal and then forget about how you’ll achieve it, only using your intuition to guide you everyday and taking action on what inspires you.
By the end of the year, you’ll be in a completely different place. Guaranteed.
